About me

Music has always been a significant part of my life - both as a way to express myself and to take part in creating moments that touch the heart. I am a singer, singing-teacher, vocal coach and choirconductor based in Stavanger. I have many years of experience in teaching, conducting choirs and performing and I work with singers on all levels - from rookies to professionals. 

Through music I am thankful to combine two things I am very passionate about: to create music and moments together with other people and to help singers finding their voice and their way of express themselves. 

I am the conductor of Stavanger Damekor (woman choir) and a gospelchoir - Joyful. They are two very different choirs who performe different genres, but they both have a warm and welcoming community who shares the joy of singing together. As a conductor I have a passion for creating a safe place where the singers can grow.

I am also a singer and I love to use my voice to communicate with an audience. I sing at events, concerts, weddings, funerals, birthdays and other occasions. 

I am educated at Complete Vocal Institute (CVI) in Copenhagen. I have completed the 3-year course and are a singer and an authorized singingteacher in Complete Vocal Technique. Previously I have also participated at the 1-year Singer course and the 1-year singer and songwriter course at the same institute. This education has given me a solid foundation in modern singing technique, a healthy way to sing and it has shaped my way of both teaching and perform. It has also given me an understanding of how the voice work and its possibilities.
